From the basketball courts of his youth, to the bustling world of stock market investments and option trading, Roy Shavit’s journey has been an interesting one.
A native of Jerusalem, Roy’s formative years were spent in The Netherlands, nurturing dreams of professional basketball.
Fate had other plans.
Following a series of injuries, Roy pivoted towards the financial realm, a decision reinforced by his early investment endeavors at the age of 18 due to exposure to the equity markets fostered by his father.
Professionally, Roy is a seasoned sell-side equity research analyst, specializing in the Technology and Renewable Energy sectors. Yet his influence extends far beyond the confines of his immediate profession.
Over the past few years, since launching The Investors Academy, he has successfully guided dozens of students, disseminating critical research and insights to a vast audience via platforms like Linkedin, Instagram and Whatsapp.

However, Roy is not just numbers and stocks. A proud veteran, he dedicated three years to the Search and Rescue division in the military, ascending roles from a basic training sergeant to company sergeant major.
Beyond the suit and screen, Roy is an avid traveler, reader and fitness enthusiast. He’s also an alumnus of The Reichman University, where he graduated with a dual BA degree in Business and Economics, with a specialization in Finance.
